જુના કાળે યુધ્ધધીંગાણે રણોન્મત યોધ્ધાઓ શત્રુઓ સાથે લડી બાખડી યુધ્ધકલા ના કૌવત દર્શાવતા અને ધર્મ,વટ,વચન,ટેક,ભુમી,ધન માટે પ્રાણોત્સર્ગ કરતા અચકાતા નહિ, યુધ્ધક્ષેત્ર માથી અનેક ઘા થી જેના શરીર વિંધાઇ ગયા હોઇ એવા ઘવાયેલ મર્દો ને ધીંગાણા સ્થળ થી ઘરે લવાતા જોળી નો ઉપયોગ થતો,જેમા આ યુધ્ધજોળી તરીકે કાઠી દરબારો મા આ માટે શીંકુ નો ઉપયોગ થતો..
વર્ષો પૂર્વે કાઠી દરબારો જાતવંત ઘોડીઓ માથે પાખર (સામાન) નાખી પાળ લઇ ગાઉના ગાઉ ધીંગણે જતા. આ ધીંગાણામાં ઘોડીઓ લઇને ઘેરથી નીકળતા. આ ઘોડીઓ પણ ભારે સમજદાર, ઘેરથી નીકળે ત્યારે ખોંખારી લે. પછી વાટમાં ક્યાંય નહીં. આવી તો શરમની ભરનારીયું. આ ઘોડીઓને એક ધારા ને એક હાર્યે પગ પડે તેવી કેળવણી અપાતી. ધીંગાણામાં પાળનો માણસ ઘવાય કે વીંધાય તો એને ત્યાં પડ્યો ન મૂક્તા, પણ શીંકે નાખીને ઘેર લઇ આવતા.

અચરજ પમાડે તેવું કાઠીદરબારોનું યુધ્ધ ધીંગાણાનું આ શીંકું છે. શીંકું હીરની દોરીનું હોય. માછલાં ઝાલવાની મોટી જાળ રોપડું. આમ તો ઝોળી જેવું. બે છેડે બે ઇંઢોણીઓ હોય. તેના ફરતી ઝાળ. તેમાં સાચી અટલસની ધડકલી (રજાઈ) કે રેશમી ધડકલી હોય. આ ધડકલીમાં રૂનો પોચો પોચો પૉલ મૂકી તેમાં ઘવાયેલા આદમીને સુવાડી શીંકે નાખી બે ઘોડિયુંના પાખરના જીનની મુંડકીમાં તેના છેડાની બેય ઇંઢોણીઓ ભરાવી દેવામાં આવતી. આવી ભલી તો એમની કરામત. પછી ડચકારો કરતાં અસવારો સાથેની બેય ઘોડિયું ગામભણી ઉપડતી.
શીંકા સહિત બેય ઘોડિયું એકધારી ચાલે ચાલી જાય. બેમાંથી એકેય ન મોર્ય જાય કે ન વાંહે રહે. શીંકે સૂતેલ આદમીને અણસારે ય ન આવે કે તે શીંકે સૂતો છે ! આ ઘોડીઓ તેને ઘર કોર્ય લઇ જાય ત્યારે શીંકામાં સૂતેલા આદમીના પેટનું પાણીએ ન હાલે. આજ તો હવે કાઠિયાવાડ આખું ફેંદો ને ગમે તેટલું નાણું ખર્ચો તોય તમને એ શીંકુ કે એને બનાવનાર કોઈનો પત્તો નહીં પડે. એ બધું કાળની કંદરામાં વિલીન થૈ ગ્યું.
વિદ્વાન પુષ્કર ચંદરાવકરે પણ શીંકા અંગે ની વાત આણંદપર ભાડલા તાલુકદાર શ્રી રામબાપુ ખાચર અને કાંથડબાપુ ખાચર પાસેથી નોંધી હતી.

Today, if you search the whole of Kathiawar and spend any amount of money, you will never find a trace of the cone or the person who made it. All that faded away in the throes of time.
